This 1957 Cadillac Series Sixty Special Fleetwood Sedan was “bought in 2019 to use as Marilyn Monroe’s car in a soon-to-be-released, independent film called “Philly.”The car has “a California and Arizona past.”It is in “fabulous condition,” the white paint is “good,” and there is “no rust on body.” FEATURES A 365-cu.in. OHV V8 with a four-barrel carburetor rated at 300 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque, when new, powers the car.The engine is believed to be original.A new carburetor; fuel pump; electronic ignition; exhaust system; hoses; sparkplug wires; and plugs were installed.“Some rewiring was done in the engine compartment.”The fuel tank and radiator were “professionally cleaned out.”The engine “starts right up and the video shows that it’s not leaking.”The four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission “shifts well.”1959 Cadillac taillights were swapped in.The engine compartment front seals and the trunk seals are new, the body seals “don’t leak,” and the doors “close well.”This Cadillac was repainted white but was originally code-46 Mountain Laurel (pink), according to the body data plate.The windshield is “new,” and the back window is “good.”The exterior lighting works.What appear to be black leather inserts replaced the stock cloth that came with the trim code-70A “black/silver Corinthian pattern cloth with white leather” interior.The carpet and headliner are “in good condition.”Inside the trunk and the package tray were reupholstered in 1950s-style Leopard and Zebra.The factory instruments, clock, power windows, and power seat function properly.An aftermarket volt gauge was added.New rear suspension was installed by “a suspension expert in Long Beach.”The shocks are “new,” and the bushings are “good.”The power steering system was rebuilt.A new brake master cylinder, four brake shoes, and the front brake lines were installed around 2019, and the drums were serviced.All four tires are “new” and there are “no vibrations.” NEEDS The paint has “tiny chips from stones.”There are some scuffs on the rear bumper, and wear on the driver’s door handle.All four side window glasses are broken and need to be replaced.The white leather upholstery has some discoloration.Surface wear is noted on instrument panel brightwork, and gauge lenses are crazed.The heater doesn’t work.“Two rear seat ash trays are missing, but their chrome covers are there.”The radio works, but “needs a new antenna, as it was broken during filming.”“Some of the chrome is deteriorating” on the 15-inch wheels.The car does “pull slightly to the right when braking on the new tires.” COMES WITH The original air cleaner assembly is included.
