The2nd owner owned the car for 38 years.Judged by the JCNA concoursassociation every year from 1984 thru 1996, scoring upwards of 99points in the latter years. 20+ awards and trophies....!Rebuiltengine, transmission, and clutch by Larry Ligas of PredatorPerformance in 2022.The following mechanical components rebuilt orreplaced: aluminum radiator, radiator surge tank, starter, fan, oilpressure gage, alternator, fuel pump, brakes, brake and clutchmaster cylinders, steering seals, modern twist off oil filterassembly, etc. etc. all done in 2022.Interior in exceptionalcondition with mostly original components.Heritage TrustCertificate showing matching numbers and matching colors as it leftthe factory.New chrome spoked wheels and Vredestein tires in2021.New stainless exhaust and stainless header pipes in2022.Chrome britework in perfect condition with no pitting orblemishes or flaking of any kind.Original steering wheel andradio.Includes all original tools, correct vintage jack and hammer,owners hand books, owners maintenance books. Also, custom made woolseat covers that have been used for the past 35 years to protectthe leather seats. Many misc. Jaguar books will be included.ALLoriginal parts that were replaced during the rebuild are includedwith the car. Original oil filter assembly, radiator, radiatorsurge tank, generator, fan, original spare tire and wheel inaddition to a new one, etc.I purchased this amazing car from the2nd owner who owned it for 38 years and had the car judged at JCNAjudging events for 12 consecutive years. It was his intent to keepthe car ALL original. Even keeping the original DC radio. In 1984he had the car repainted it's original carmen red with a laquercolor/clear coat system. This is the only repaint this car has seenand this is the paint you see today. The paint is 40 years old andlooks exceptional today. There are a few spots that show some minorblistering but overall the paint has held up amazingly well. I willtry to show these imperfections in my photo gallery.Shortly after Ibought the car I trailered it to Sarasota, FL and had the enginerebuilt by Larry Ligas of Predator Performance. Larry rebuilt theengine, the transmission, and replaced the clutch. Larry hasrebuilt well over 400 E-type engines in his life time and isconsidered one of the leading authorities on E-type engines. Larryis a very competitive racer with his heavily modified 1961 E-typeJaguar and he knows all the tricks when rebuilding these engines.He used all of the best components while rebuilding this car and nomoney was spared during this rebuild.The number face plates on theside of the car are soft magnetic numbers and can be removed if sodesired. I have taken a few pictures with these decals removed. Thecar comes complete with a wide assortment of books, manuals,trophies and awards, and 12 years of judging sheets from the 12years of JCNA judging. If you are looking for a solid, veryoriginal E-type coupe, this is the car. I had the oil and filterchanged last week as I have driven the car about 2000 miles sincethe rebuild and we did not see any oil drips or leaks on theunderside of the car. A matter of fact I park the car on a cleangarage floor without any oil drip pans or cardboardsheets.....LOL.The Hagerty Price guide suggests a #2 car is worth$244K. This car in my opinion meets the requirements of a #2quality car and I have priced it well under this suggested value.THE LAST FOUR 1962 ETYPE COUPES TO SELL ON BAT HAVE AVERAGED$188,000. MY CAR IS PRICED TO SELL....!!!!! I drive this car on a700 mile journey to Road America every July and it is a pleasure todrive. The only reason I am selling the car is because I haveretired and I am moving to FL where I will not have a place tostore the car.
