The AMCMarlin, produced by American Motors Corporation (AMC), is atwo-door fastback automobile that was marketed as a personal luxurycar. The Marlin was designed to offer a blend of sportiness andluxury, aiming to compete with similar models from othermanufacturers. It was characterized by its unique fastbackroofline, spacious interior, and for the time, a range of engineoptions that catered to both performance-oriented buyers and thoseseeking more economical transportation. Our Marlin is featured inred, with white accents, and a red interior. It is the economicalbase model with a 232 CI inline six cylinder engine rated at 155 HPpaired with a 3-speed column shift manual gearbox. It is upgradedwith Willwood front disc brakes and aftermarket alloy wheels. Thecar has a new exhaust system and sports its original AM radio. TheMarlin's handsome fastback styling makes it unmistakable in anydisplay of 1960's cars, and the old-school three on the treeshifter makes for a very nostalgic driving experience. Overall wewould characterize this a a #3+ example that would be distinctivecollector-car fun for the whole family.
