DetailsThis 1967 Mercury Cougar GT was recently given a replacement 390ci V8 engine block with new internal parts and an Edelbrock RPM top-end kit. Additionally, the block was bored out 0.40, increasing output. A C6 automatic transmission backs this modified powerplant with a rear-end gear ratio of 3.25 that drives the rear wheels. The car was given further mechanical updates but still retains its original Polar White paint and Medium Saddle Crinkle vinyl upholstery, and a unique analog clock is mounted in the center of the instrument panel. The cars odometer shows 79,000 miles; however, it is not known if this is the total mileage of the vehicle.The selling dealer had the car photographed, and a pre-purchase inspection checklist was conducted. The original body is still straight and in overall good condition. The paint is peeling in some areas, but the vehicle shows well, considering its age and originality. The interior shows well, with minor wear on some of the chrome accents and seats. Light patina around the interior can be seen, but it still looks good, considering it has not been restored.
