1968 Pontiac GTO VIN 242378P1655518. Matching numbers Ram Air 400 V8 with original rare 3-Speed manual transmission (recently rebuilt) and center console. Odometer shows 79,008 miles. Retractable headlights work perfectly. Factory air conditioning blows cold. Power Steering and Power Brakes. Safe-T-Track differential. Solid and arrow-straight body with good driver quality paint in the original code R Solar Red. Absolutely no rust. The code 224 “Parchment” bucket seat interior is mostly original and shows well. New factory black loop carpet. The car runs like a fire truck and steers and brakes very well. Factory 15 inch Rally wheels on new tires. This GTO has a unique and interesting story. The original owner ordered it in November 1967 while stationed in Vietnam. Build date is “11B” (2nd week of November 1967). I have a copy of the check payable to David McDavid Motors- Weatherford, Texas, drawn on Saigon branch of Bank of America. I have a copy of the original title and the original window sticker. Car also comes with the original Protector-O-Plate (warranty) and Pontiac Historical Society (PHS) documentation. This has been a Texas car it’s whole life (Dallas-Ft-Worth).
