Under the hood is the 2.0 liter engineattached to a manual transmission.The 1969 Volvo 1800S is thelowest production run year for the car with only 1,693 built thatyear. It is the only year to have the larger 2.0L motor with dualzenith stromberg carburetors.The following year was fuel injected.Volvo historian Per Groth contacted the owner a few years agoasking to put this vehicle in his book about the1800's.Some of therecent mechanical work that has been done over the past few yearsinclude: new front calipers and brakes in 2014 @ 73,673 miles; anew oem exhaust system, installed pertronix electronic ignition,new upper and lower hoses, and fresh transmission fluid and reardiff fluid in 2016 @ 75,843 miles; wheel cylinder, u joints, reardrums, shoes and prop valves replaced along with e-brake fixed inMay 2021 @ 77,750 miles; replaced rear diff cover gasket and newgear oil in June 2022 @ 78,511 miles. It had a bare metal, windowsout paint refinish 20 years ago in the original Volvo #94 DarkGreen paint code. The leather front seats were replaced around thattime as well as the Panasport wheels.
