Finished in Driver quality B-5 Blue with theBright Blue interior, this is the muscle car that turns headseverywhere. Definitely one of the most recognizable models of theentire muscle car era, it was made even more famous from the wildlypopular Warner Bros. Road Runner Cartoon Series. Elevating thisparticular example's investment-grade option list are the legendary440 Six-Pack engine, which is perfectly matched with the HurstPistol Grip shifted 4-Speed and coupled to the bulletproof Dana 60rear axle. There are many good reasons why the Six-Pack Mopars are some of themost sought-after collector cars. They are among the best-drivingyet one of the quickest and fastest cars of the era. That's becausethe Chrysler engineers set out to make a very powerful yet durableengine with highly tractable driving characteristics. They startedwith a forged crankshaft, and developed extra-wide forgedconnecting rods exclusively for the 1970-71 Six-Pack engines. Alsoincluded were open chamber heads with Hemi valve springs. It's alltopped off by three Holley 2300-series two-barrel carburetorsmatched to an Edelbrock manifold with equal-length runners. Themasterstroke of engineering lies in the carburetors and linkage, which allows the car to be driven moderately and smoothly on thecenter two-barrel carburetor while the outboard carburetors lie inwait, opening on demand. With a total 1200 CFM, when you ask theoutboard carbs to open, hold on because they open simultaneously insync with the center carb to unleash an instant and brutalresponse! Chrysler engineered the Six-Pack cars for drag-strip domination;and countless records prove they were highly successful in doingso. Those engineers were drag racers themselves, and spentcountless hours testing and refining to extract maximumperformance. As a result, the Six-Pack cars were a completepackage. They featured Chrysler's strongest transmission, as wellas suspension and cooling mods, along with the virtuallyunbreakable Dana 60 rear axle option. That's the same rear axlethat the nitromethane dragsters of the day used, and the Mopar 440Six Pack and Hemi's were the only high-performance car of themuscle car-era to have the Dana 60 as a factory option. Drivability. Record-setting performance. World-famous namerecognition. Industry-leading engineering. There are all elementsthat can make a car highly collectible. Combine them all in onepackage that has show-stopping looks in the very popular B-5 Blueand a great option combo and you have a solid winner. This is thatcar.
