Classic Car Addict is excited to present this one-owner 1971 BuickSkylark custom convertible for sale in our Mesa, Arizona showroom.For reasons that aren't clear, the top-of-the-line GM A-bodies, theBuick Skylark, don't get the same level of attention as their Chevyand Pontiac siblings, and that's a shame. They are every bit asattractive, have the same handling, and are fitted with a varietyof Buick's V8 powerplants.There was only a limited production number of only 3,993 SkylarkCustom Convertibles that were produced for the 1971 model year.This Skylark is a survivor that has original paint, originalinterior, and original engine. It's not quite ready for show inpreservation classes, but a little clean up here and there will paybig dividends if that's your thing.The cabin features two rows of bench seats with original PearlWhite vinyl joined by matching door panels. The three-spoke Buicksteering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and a fuel level gaugewith auxiliary warning lights. The five-digit odometer shows 27,567miles. That averages out to 520 miles per year.The Skylark is finished in Bittersweet Mist Poly (62), and it stillwears its factory original paint. The paint has sun fade on thehood and the trunk; the rest of the vehicle still looks great.Features include Skylark Custom badging on the rear quarter panels.All chrome looks to still be original, and some areas have a littlesurface rust. The power white vinyl top is also in great conditionand functions correctly.This 1971 Buick Skylark convertible is finished in Bittersweet MistPoly and is powered by a 350ci V8 paired with a three-speedautomatic transmission. The 350ci V8 breathes through a four-barrelcarburetor and features orange valve covers. It starts quickly andeasily with a great V8 rumble from the dual exhaust system. Itwears factory Road Wheels, which were some of the most attractiverolling stock of its era and is fitted with BF Goodrich radialT/A's 225/60R14's.Don't sleep on this Skylark, a little elbow grease and someadditional love, it would be a nice show car.
