Rev Up Motors owns this Hurst/Olds,unlike many of the "Dealers" out there. We invest our own money inquality vehicles. Unlike the BIG consignment "Dealers" out therethat take everything and anything just to pay for their overheadand "Sales Staff". They charge the customer a fee to "Market" thevehicle. The consignment "Dealers" do not anything mechanically tothe consignors vehicle. All of the vehicles at Rev Up Motors havebeen inspected for safety and for their mechanical operation. Thisis all done by a Licensed ASE Certified Master Technician. TheCameo White Exterior (Code 11) paint is very nice as you can see inthe pictures and video. It is very smooth and swirl free. The gapsfrom panel to panel are exceptional. The 1972 Hurst/Olds Hardtopcars had an exclusive vinyl top only available on the Hurst/Olds.The material used was an Antique White with Gold Specks. The enginebay is very stock in appearance and clean. This Hurst/Olds runs anddrives out very nice as well. It starts, idles, drives and stopsvery nice. The undercarriage and sheet metal on this Hurst/Olds arerock solid too. The Interior is in awesome condition as you can seein the pictures and video. It is Black Vinyl (Code 970). 1972HURST/OLDS INDIANAPOLIS 500 PACE CARS The 1972 Hurst/Olds wasactually developed by Hurst Performance, and not Oldsmobile. Due toa tragic accident involving the 1971 Indy Pace Car, a DodgeChallenger, the major auto manufactures were reluctant to provide aPace Car for the 1972 Indy 500 race. Hurst Performance stepped upand volunteered to sponsor the 1972 Pace Car duties. Oldsmobileprovided the Cutlass Supreme Coupe and Convertible. It was the onlytime an Indy Pace Car was sponsored by a manufacture other than anautomotive manufacture, and the first time to include a majorsupplier's name in the title. The 1972 edition of the Hurst/Oldshad some of the lowest production numbers of any produced with atotal of 633 produced; 130 Convertibles, 279 Hardtops, 220 Hardtopswith Power Sunroofs, and 4 Station Wagons for Press and Ambulanceuse. The only color available was Cameo White with reflective 3MGold Stripes that were stickers, not paint. All of the cars had theW25 Ram Air Hood and Gold SS II Rally Wheels with a Chrome bolt-oncenter cap and Chrome beauty ring. The standard Hurst/Olds enginewas the powerful L75 455 cubic-inch Rocket V8 rated at 270 nethorsepower. Optional at extra cost was the W30 option with the L77455 cubic-inch Rocket V8 rated at 300 net horsepower. Both engineswere mated to a 3 Speed Turbo Hydra-matic 400 transmission with aconsole-mounted Hurst Dual-Gate Shifter. All of the 1972 Hurst/Oldshad the Black Strato Bucket Interior with a center console. SpecialHurst/Olds Pace Car badging adjourned the glove box door. Inaddition, all 1972 Hurst/Olds were identified with a W45 Code onthe Cowl Tag. Also the 1972 Hurst/Olds Hardtop cars had a specialhalf vinyl top. The material used is an Antique White with Goldspecks. This material is very hard to find. Most "restored"Hurst/Olds use an incorrect White material.
