1973 Jaguar XKE Series III Roadster 4 speed manual - only 3 ownersover 51 years... rare Azure Blue in beautiful combination w/Biscuit leather interior - "Straight up" - pictures do NOT dojustice to how gorgeous the car is in person. One of only 6100 orso built (acc. To my research). Azure Blue with Biscuit Leatherinterior. Jaguar offered this brilliant color blue (sky blueessentially) for only two Model yrs - 1973 and 1974. The five-digitodometer shows 57,600 miles. The first owner, a Canadian, had thecar until 2012, at which time it went to the (next) second owner, aGeorgian (now in Florida), who spent a lot of time (and money)wonderfully refurbishing the car to its original standard. Car isrust and accident-free solid body, as per detailed independentinspection by a respected local restoration shop in Manassas,Virginia some months ago. The 5.3-liter V12 was factory equippedwith quadruple Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and was rated at 241horsepower and 285 lb.-ft of torque when new. Engine operatesperfectly with no issues, and everything works except radio. NoA/C. Under previous ownership the engine, transmission, carburetorsand related were completely rebuilt. The electrical system has beencompletely modernized to include electronic ignition. Car wasrepainted in 2004, and fresh clear coat was re-applied to theexterior in 2020. Other than two 1 inch minor scratches, the paintis flawless. Weatherstripping and door handles were replaced in2020. In Dec 2023, every accessible hinge, latch and pivot pointwas meticulously serviced and lubricated. Chrome finished 15" Wirewheels are spotless and pristine. Braking is through four-wheeldiscs. Clutch was recently evaluated and is in excellent shape.Four new Kumho Solus TA11 tires were installed circa early 2019.Theinterior was re-trimmed in tan leather upholstery, new foam, and acolor-coordinated soft-top was also installed. Tonneau cover is inpristine condition as well. Additional equipment includes quadexhaust outlets, knock-off wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes,power steering, a louvered front-hinged hood, European-stylebumpers, a heater, and a push-button AM/FM pushbutton radio (notfunctional). Dashboard and door panels in excellent condition. Bothdoors close completely and without issue. Original carpeting inexcellent condition along with original trunk lining. Comes withoriginal jack, tools, hammer and hub Knock-off tool. Spare tire isdated and has pristine wire wheel. Newer stainless steel exhaustsystem with Quad exhaust outlets. All chrome is in excellentcondition. The Production Record Trace Certificate listsmanufacturing date of June 8th, 1973 in original color combinationand matching numbers engine and body. Comes with 3 keys,comprehensive service records spanning 20 years, the aforementionedtools, original Owners manuals, a Jaguar-published Service Manual,and a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate. The car has aclean Virginia Title in the Owner's name. In addition, numeroussmall parts convey as well. A beautiful example and super-fundriver, verging on Concours level quality -
