From 1969 through 1976 Triumph built the TR6, a two seat frontengine roadster equipped with a 2.5 liter 6-cylinder engine matedto a manual transmission. Of the almost 92,000 units produced inthat time, only just over 8,000 of those would be sold with in theUK, and of the 83,400 exported almost all of those were to the US.Triumph went outside its internal design team and actually usedGerman designer Karmann for this model with the factory Hardtopbeing designed in house. This particular TR6 is a fantastic driverquality example that has had excellent care and ownership withexcellent mechanicals that also includes a newly installedsupercharger that adds some more excitement to an already fun todrive car. I feel like these TR6's were the first of these Englishcars to be actually "fun" to drive with some power underneath thatpedal. This car is finished in white over black with a veryattractive stripe package that I have personally never seen. I amalso assuming that the car was re-painted some time ago and do notknow if the stripes were added at that time or were a dealeroption. Nonetheless it is a very attractive car with a great wheeland tire selection filling out those fenders. The top does have asplit in the driver rear quarter plastic, but other than that it isin good condition as is the interior and chrome. The paint has somestone chips and peeling paint on the very bottom of the rearquarters but zero rust anywhere with the exception of some surfacestuff underneath as would be expected. This car starts, runs,sounds, idles, brakes, shifts and goes down the road really nicely.These cars have had a pretty good little spike in values these lastcouple years with 100 point cars bringing close to $45K. This isnot a "perfect" car but it is a excellent driver that would makesomeone very proud.
