1976 Triumph TR6 The Triumph Motor Company was first founded in 1885 and originallybegan producing motorcycles but in 1923 manufactured their firstcar. The company went through a lot of changes over the years beingacquired by Leyland motors, then the British Leyland SpecialistDivision until it became dormant under the Rover Group which iscurrently owned by BMW. The TR6 is a sports car they manufacturedin England and although production began many months earlier it wasreleased in January for the 1969 model year. They were sold in theUK but over 80K of the 91,850 produced by 1976 had been exported tothe US. They fed right into US market providing the go to vehiclefor those Americans wanting a small 2 seater sports car with theBritish flair. This cool TR6 was produced in that very last yearand is a great driver. The car is painted in a Dark Green and wearsall of its original bumpers, trim and that TR6 British flag. It hasa Black cloth convertible top that is in good shape and it comeswith a Black boot cover that snaps into place. The car sits on itsoriginal wheels with TR6 center caps and are wrapped with Michelintires. All TR6s were sold with the Triumphs 2.5L straight 6 engine. It hasa pair of Stromberg Zenith carburetors and starts up well. It iscombined with a 4 speed manual transmission that shiftssmoothly. The interior is all in good condition and done in Black. It hasstock bucket seats with headrests and 3 point seat belts. The dashfeatures its woodgrain trim which is in good condition. It istopped with a lot of the original components but the gauges are amixture of Smith gauges and aftermarket iequus gauges. The trunk ofthe car provides additional storage and houses the originalspare. This is a neat classic sports car and based on its VIN it is withinthe last 2,700 TR6's ever produced. It comes with a few extras likevarious service manuals. Add it to your collection for $18,500.00!
