The 560SL was the final version of Mercedes-Benzs landmark 107 series coupe/roadster. It featured always-admired styling, plus Mercedes engineering and all the mechanical upgrades made over the years, evolving a bulletproof 5.6 liter V8 drivetrain, effective A/C, drivers airbag and ABS brakes. They were fabulous, reliable cars capable of high-speed cruising that could be easily serviced in any city and had modern safety features-plus that year-round capability with a snug hardtop. Now they make the perfect classic car. Many 560SLs are well past a quarter-million miles today, but this Florida car still has only 93K-one family had it for 18 years. It has a clean Carfax report with no past accident, and has been well maintained over the years. Receipts show regular oil services and in the last couple years the car has gotten a new battery, A/C blower & compressor with updated refrigerant, new ball joints, coolant hoses & belts, alignment, brake lines, pads plus rotors, shocks and new Pirelli tires. The black convertible top was recently replaced, the interior is inviting and the car runs well. The silver paint looks great and combined with the gray interior, gives a classy look. We have the owners books and the original spare is still in the trunk. Ultra-low-mileage garage queen 560s command prices over $60,000 today, but they arent any more fun to enjoy a weekend with than this car is for less than half the investment! You can put 5000 miles of fun on this car and not affect its value at all.
