Then in 2017, the 991 GT2RSwas announced. With a stupendous 700 horsepower from its 3.8-litertwin-turbocharged engine, this dual-clutch PDK, rear-wheel-drive"widow maker" was an instant sensation. Adding on top of itsalready resounding positive press, it set a production car laprecord at the N�rburgring with a 6:47 minute lap time, cementingthis car as the "baddest" street-legal car in the world, barnone. Our 2018 Porsche 911 GT2RS is perfectly optioned from the Porschefactory in Zuffenhausen. This Miami Blue over Black leather andAlcantara with platinum stitching complimented throughout withMiami Blue seat belts and Racing Yellow calipers magnified by theaddition of the $18,000 Weissach package. With a carbon fiber hoodand roof, and numerous other parts for lighter weight andaerodynamic modifications, this transforms the already potent carinto the ultimate road and track 911. Other options included themust-have 20/21 911 GT2RS magnesium wheels, $13,000, front axlelift system, Bose surround sound, extended deviated stitchinginterior package, Porsche's light design package automaticallydimming mirrors, and chrono package. With a total sticker price of$345,100, this was no base model that was ordered by skimmingoptions. This GT2RS was also fitted with the $8,500 Canepa Winglets option.This option removes the rear factory wing and replaces it withsmall winglets that bolt onto the original wing mounting points. Nomodifications have to be done to the car to fit this option. Carincludes factory wing. Records indicate that this GT2RS was originally ordered anddelivered to the Portland Metro Area. The car only saw the pacificnorthwest for a mere 8 months before making its way down to thegolden state of California. From there, this GT2RS found its homein sunny Los Angeles for the next 2 years. The car received amaintenance inspection and oil changeat 4,000 miles, in Costa Mesa, California. The car then tradedhands to a gentleman out in New York. For the next 2 years, thisGT2RS lived in a warm and cozy garage, with the owner only drivingit in the most pristine weather conditions. Eventually, the goldenstate of California came calling back, and the car found itselfback here. This GT2RS represents the pinnacle of Porsche 911 performance thatwill certainly not be matched for years to come.
