1935 Chrysler Airflow C1 2-Door CoupeThis custom 1935 ChryslerAirflow C1 2-door coupe (one of 71 built in 35) was a 4.5-yearlabor of love, passion, old-fashioned quality and ingenuity builtby the owner in his shop. Very few of these two-door coupes existand were typically referred to as a Traveler's Salesman car. Theall-original-steel straight body is powered by a 6.1-liter HEMIengine with an Edelbrock supercharger and 545 RFE automatictransmission with a 9-inch Ford rear end. The car rides on amodified Heidt Mustang II front end with an Art Morrison rear clipand Wilwood brakes, and is finished off with Boyd Coddingtonwheels. The body, paint and interior were completed by Armando'sCustom Upholstery in San Jacinto, CA. The two-toned Ghost Greenpaint is a custom PPG mix. The interior features two-tone lightcream and light tan leather with handmade chrome trim on theheadliner and doors, Chrysler insignia on the rear seat, along withfabricated 1935-era matching luggage disguising the gas tank underthe rear trunk lid. The interior also features power windows, aVintage Air system, the original steering wheel and a custom centerconsole.
