The Jeep CJ models are a series of open bodied off-road vehicles built and sold by several successive incarnations from 1945 to 1986. In fact, the 1945 model was the world’s first mass produced 4 wheel drive vehicle for civilian use. As a result the CJ stands for Civilian Jeep. In 1946 it was equipped with the L34 134ci Flathead 4 cylinder which was nicknamed the “Go Devil” that is mated to a column shifted Borg Warner T90 3 speed manual transmission. This sweet Jeep is also equipped with 3 very rare options making it extremely desirable which are the front tow bar, the rear draw bar (hitch) and the rear bumper mounted Power Take-Off (PTO) which was designed to drive equipment mounted at the rear of the vehicle through a shaft drive assembly. It is also used to drive trailered equipment, operate belt driven machines and shaft driven winches. It was completely restored over a 3-year period ending in 2011 at which time the engine, transmission and PTO were gone through from top to bottom. It was repainted in its original colors of Harvest Tan and Sunset Red, it has new American Specialty replica 6.00-15LT tires, freshly recovered seats and even new handmade leather boots for the PTO shifter and both 4X4 controls. It has been driven less than 500 miles since it was completed, it currently shows 28,245 miles and it is in overall excellent condition. As such we would conservatively appraise this as a solid #2 vehicle that we would appraise at $36,850 based on the N.A.D.A. values shown below. We are serious about selling it and have priced it less than a #3 vehicle so if you like what you see you should contact us right away!
