This particular example is presented with a glassy gold finish and a black vinyl top, a very elegant combination that exudes the class and style that buyers with discriminating taste were looking for in '68. And it still hits the mark. The Crown Coupe is a real pleasure to drive, it fires up eagerly and is silky smooth rolling down the highway. The legendary 440 cubic inch engine -- one of the great motors of all time and probably second only to the " hemi" s in the Chrysler arsenal -- is the perfect match to this big touring coupe. It cruises along effortlessly and provides a sensation of limitless torque that is an absolute joy to experience. Sitting in the leather bucket driver's seat looking over the beautiful dash and that long hood, its easy to be transported back to the late '60's when style and masculinity were at a pinnacle, when men dressed well, worked hard and made America the greatest country in the world. And they drove cars that are still seen as the benchmark of style and craftsmanship even today. This Imperial has been a real pleasure to own. It is a wonderful example of maybe the lowest production luxury coupe every produced by the big three automakers.
