-Verde Gemma with Senape leather and Beige carpeting, 5-speedmanual, Power Windows, Air Conditioning, 4,719 cc V8 engine withdry-sump lubrication and two chain-driven camshafts per cylinderbank and produces 330 bhp, Cosmetically restored, Fully serviced,Documented by Maserati Classiche. This 1968 Maserati Ghibli is a very early production SS #25 ofapproximately 425 SS coupes produced between 1968 and 1973. It wasfirst delivered new to Rolma Automobili S.r.l. of Milano, Italy.Early history remains unknown until its surfacing in early 2020. Atthe time, it was imported to the United States. A cosmetic restoration was performed to include a bare metalrepaint in its original Verde Gemma, the windshield trim, rearwindow trim and bumpers were re-chromed, various lights and trimwork replaced as well as all weather-stripping. The interior wasreupholstered in the factory original Senape leather with Beigecarpeting.Recent mechanical-service work includes, a full service tune-up toinclude filters and fluids, New Spark plugs, Gearbox anddifferential fluids, Carburetor rebuild, Cam cover gaskets,Ignition - Distributor service, Cooling system service, Newbattery, Various suspension servicing as well as the supply of newMichelin XWX tires. Power comes from a replacement Maserati 4.7-liter quad-cam V8somewhere along the way and during the Ghibli's past. The enginewas reportedly sourced from another Ghibli and installed sometimeduring previous ownership. We purchased this Maserati for our collection and use for variousevents and rallies. It was enjoyed on this years NE1000 rally,through some of the best roads of Connecticut, New England andVermont. A total of 1,400 trouble free miles was accumulateddriving to, on the event and back home to Autosport Designs,Inc. Since, the Ghibli has been used for weekend cruising and a fewdrives to and from The Hamptons. Having developed a noise in 5thgear, we decided to remove the gearbox for a total rebuild. To date, we have serviced this Ghibli when and where needed toensure it would be ready for any event we chose to take partin. On a recent road test (please see video), this Ghibli is excellentin all areas and with absolutely no disappointments. It is completewith factory books, tools, jack/pouch as well as Maseraticertificate and records.
