Concourse winner, 1 of 212 made! Ultra-low production car here, itis said that only 212 1969 F-85s with the W-31 performance packagewere made. This one is #'s matching and features a 4-speed manualtransmission increasing its rarity and desirability! On top of thatit has received a top quality, frame off rotisserie restorationthat will absolutely blow your mind! It received 983 out of 1000possible points while being judged at the Muscle Car and CorvetteNationals and 994 at the Olds Nationals. It has been meticulouslykept since. Really, this is one of the finest cars I've had in along time. Fit, finishes and function is amazing! The originalowner's manual, protect-o-plate and warranty pamphlet withsalesman's card stapled to it are included. This car's history: Bill Austin, a salesman at FarnsworthOldsmobile in Plainwell MI, was a drag racing enthusiast. In thesummer of 1969, he special ordered this no frills, stripped downF-85 with the W-31 performance package. A gentleman named WilliamCool walked in the showroom and fell in love with this car. On July7th, 1969, he was its new proud owner. He owned it until 1984 whenStephen Hanner, an Olds enthusiast talked Mr. Cool into selling himthe car. Mr. Hanner owned it until 2008 when Mr. Bakanec bought thecar and started the concourse restoration. I happen to know Mr.Bakanec from my days being a member of the Olds club, he has donesome top-notch restorations on some rare 442s. In 2010 it waspurchased by the gentleman I acquired the car from. He finished therestoration, had it judged and kept meticulous care of the car. Nowit's your turn to be a part of this car's history! EXTERIOR: The exterior of this car is something special! Thequality of the paint and body work is tremendous! The crimson redpaint is spotless and applied with expert precision. It waspainstakingly wet sanded and polished to a mirror like finish. Theblack W-31 stripes have been applied under the clear coat and arecompletely smooth to the touch. Additionally, this is the factorycorrect paint color. Looking down the side of the body isabsolutely 100% laser straight with no discrepancies noted. All thepanels have been aligned properly and the doors, hood, and trunkall open and close easily. All the glass is new, and it is blemishfree. The front grill looks like new. All the trim pieces includingthe front and rear bumper have been rechromed or replaced and havea beautiful shine to them. The body-colored rims with povertyhubcaps really give this Olds a sleeper appearance. Upfront theyare wearing reproduction G70-14 Goodyear polyglass tires, in backit has a set of much needed Mickey Thompson street slicks. Thisexterior is absolutely immaculate and will please even the fussiestcollectors! INTERIOR: Wow! Can you say new? Everything about this interiorlooks brand new and dare I say, perfect condition. Like theexterior it is no frills although it has 1 very special feature: aHurst shifter sticking out of the floor. The front bench seat hasbeen reupholstered and leaves you plenty of room to cuddle withyour sweetheart. Both the front and rear seats have new cushions aswell and are very comfortable. The door panels have also beenreplaced and are spotless. The carpeting and kick panels are new.The headliner, sun visors, seat belts, and rearview mirror have allbeen replaced. The dome light is working. The dash pad has beenreplaced and the climate control along with all the knobs look likenew. There is a radio delete. The gauges appear to be original butin fantastic condition. The steering column and wheel both look newas well. A vintage Sun Super tachometer has been added to thesteering column and a SunPro triple gauge has been added under thedash. This is arguably one of the most pristine interiors that wehave at the museum currently! ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Under the hood is a rare sight indeed! Theoriginal #'s matching W-31 350 Ram Air engine! Originally, theypumped out an impressive 325 hp with upgraded cam, valves etc.Although it looks bone stock on the outside, this motor has beenprofessionally built, balanced, blueprinted, and is now making 427hp and 460 lbs of torque! A detailed 6 page invoice from C.P.Motorworks is included. It runs strong! This engine compartmentlooks like it just rolled off the assembly line. All thecomponents, brackets, valve covers and of course the unique Ram Airsystem looks factory fresh. No frills here either, of course noa/c, no power steering. Power brakes were not even availablebecause of the lack of vacuum from the aggressive cam. It hascorrect clamps, battery cables, stickers etc. All the surfaces arevery neatly, smoothly painted. It looks like it was restored lastnight! Absolutely no disappointments under this hood! TRUNK COMPARTMENT: This trunk compartment is complete andfantastic! The underside of the lid and jamb are both painted bodycolor and just a smooth and shiny as the exterior. Reproductionstickers were added and the weatherstrip was replaced. All thetrunk pan metal is spotless and painted with a factory typetextured spatter finish. Correct 2 piece mat has been laid on top.It has an original Goodyear Polyglass GT tire on a restored rimfull size rim along with the jack assembly.
