1972 GMC 2500 4x4Classic 4x4 is pleased to present a refurbishedand modified 1972 GMC 2500 4x4. This � ton truck is exceptionallyclean and rust free. The exterior is finished in matte moss greenwith matte white accents and the interior is dark olive with whiteaccents. It is powered by an 8 cylinder engine, 4 speed manualtransmission and dual range transfer case. It stops smoothly with 4wheel power disc brakes and steers effortlessly with powersteering. General Motors introduced the second generation of C/Ktrucks for the 1967 model year through 1972. The GMC C/K was anupmarket version of the Chevrolet C/K. Designated the "Action Line"generation by General Motors, the C/K largely carried over itsdrop-center ladder frame, but the body was redesigned from theground up to improve its capability as a multi-purpose vehicle.Thistruck reportedly started its life as a C2500 and was fitted with aK20 frame, SkyJacker lift and converted to four wheel drive underprior ownership. It was acquired out of Colorado and relocated toTexas by the current owner in 2021. Subsequently, it went through acomprehensive cosmetic and mechanical refurbishment. The body andframe were refinished, the interior, engine and transmission wererefurbished and the transfer case and axles were replaced. Theexterior presents itself nicely, finished in matte moss green withmatte white accents, a reclaimed barnwood bed floor and chromebumpers. It underwent an extensive cosmetic refurbishment,including stripping and refinishing the bed and tailgate,refinishing the cab, frame and axles, adding a custom reclaimedbarn wood bed floor, new chrome bumpers and replacing the doorseals.The interior presents itself well, finished in dark olivemetallic with white door cards, visors and glove box and chromedash and door accents. The original bench is finished with adurable woven grey and green one piece cover accented by tanseatbelts. The interior refurbishment included recovering the benchseat, adding new 3 point seatbelts, replacing the transmissiontunnel to accommodate the replaced transfer case and installingSilles Hybrid sound, heat and vibration dampening matting coveredby a new black rubber flooring kit.The truck is powered by a GM5.7L 350ci V8 engine with a Carter Quadrajet 4 barrel carburetorpaired to a Muncie SM465 4 speed manual transmission mated to a NewProcess 205 transfer case. Power is sent to the wheels throughcustom Mesquite driveshafts into a Dana 60 front axle with MileMarker manual locking hubs and a GM 14 bolt 10.5" rear axle. Thecurrent owner replaced the transfer case, driveshafts and axles andbelieves the engine and transmission were replaced under priorownership. Both axles were rebuilt and regeared to 3.73 with TorqLockers for optimal on road speeds and off road capabilities. Theengine was refurbished under current ownership with new Comp Camlifters and push rods, valve stem seals, valve cover gaskets,fluids, filters, spark plugs, alternator, voltage regulator,battery, PCV valve, radiator hoses, radiator cap and thermostat. Inaddition, the transmission received a new transfer case adapter,clutch, clutch linkage rod and was resealed. The truck stopsquickly with the addition of 4 wheel power disc brakes installedunder current ownership. It steers smoothly with power steering andnew tie rod ends. The 4" SkyJacker suspension lift with Hydro 7000shocks rides comfortably and gives clearance for the 315/75 RBPRepulsor M/T tires wrapped around white 16 inch steel wheels.Thereare no known mechanical flaws, as the truck runs, drives, rides,shifts, steers and stops well. The only known cosmeticimperfections are normal wear and tear, pictured in the gallery andnoted in the CarScore inspection. The lights, gauges and heat arefunctional. The odometer shows 24,638 miles, but the true mileageis unknown. It has a clean and clear Texas title in the currentowner's name and comes with two sets of keys. Classic 4x4 ismarketing and representing the sale on behalf of the current ownerand will assist with all questions, inquiries and nationwidetransportation.
