For Sale - $15,000 1980 Triumph TR8. 38,000 original miles. I have owned the vehicle for about 6 years. Current status listed below including items repaired/restored during my ownership. Body � Repaired minor surface rust in the spare tire well (typical on most TR7-8s). Was otherwise rust free. Vehicle was rust-proofed (Ziebart style) at some point in its past. Professionally painted approx 5 years ago. Garage kept so paint remains in excellent condition with a few very minor stone chips due to driving. Engine � Was converted to an Edelbrock manifold and 1403 carburetor prior to my ownership. Replaced Throttle linkage and cable with a Lokar set. Replaced distributor with a Pertronix unit and Pertronix coil. MSD plug wires. Rubber fuel lines replaced and insulated. New fuel filters added. PCV system reworked with an M/E Wagner Dual Flow PCV valve and K&N breather. Engine has a minor oil leak, approx 2 tablespoons per month. Does not burn oil while running. Cooling system - Thermostat housing replaced with D&D swivel unit and new thermostat. Corrected cooling system to include a proper bypass hose between water pump and manifold. Coolant hoses and belts have been replaced. Single large electric fan was added in place of original fans by a previous owner. Drivetrain � Transmission mount replaced. Driveshaft replaced. Clutch master, slave cylinders and line replaced. Exhaust � Test pipes replacing the catalytic converters (they were bad). New stock style rear mufflers. Brakes � Booster and master cylinder replaced. Front disc rotors replaced, calipers rebuilt, flex lines replaced. Rear brakes rebuilt with new linings, springs, fittings and slave cylinders. Electrical � Wiring harness in good shape and largely unmolested. Lights, gauges, etc work as expected. New battery. Interior � Seats, door cards, rear bulkhead panel, etc appear to be original. Some sun fading on the upper edge of door cards, minor scuff on driver seat back. Still available at ListedBuy!
