1984 Lincoln Mark VII Turbo Diesel -- Very Rare $2000. OBOIn 1984-85, Lincoln produced a TDI version of the Lincoln Mark VII with the same engine used in the 524TD and at the time it was the fastest and quietest production diesel ever built, fewer than 3,500 were sold. This Lincoln Mark VII came with a standard 302-cubic inch V-8 engine and the rare 2.4 ltr BMW inline 6-cylinder Turbo Diesel engine with the ZF 4-speed transmission. If you are a diesel fan, this car runs and sounds just like an 84-85 Mercedes 300 Diesel. It gets about 25 to 32 miles per gallon and on the highway some have gotten 38+ miles per gallon. This car was ahead of its time with diesel performance and smooth transmission.This car has American styling with a German Engine and Transmission. The engine and transmission (aluminum) are the only difference between this car and the gas engine models. Engine parts are available from most of the BMW parts providers, while all the other Ford parts are available from just about anywhere. This car would also be a great candidate for biodiesel conversion.This vehicle was previously owned by an older gentleman that was down-sizing his car collection. I bought this to convert to a bio-diesel car, but unfortunately I do not have the time to undertake this project.? Engine block heater? Car starts well? All car manuals are included? The interior is in Very Good Condition and just needs a shampoo --has no rips or tears and the carpet is in Very Good Condition?
