Jaguar has always produced cars with unique styling that is verypopular among not only enthusiasts but onlookers as well. The XJSmodel was designed to compete with the luxury car market. Thisgrand tourer model was built from 1975 to 1996 with a totalproduction of 115,413 cars built. Manufactured by Jaguar Cars, itwas built to replace the E-type and at first, its launch wascontroversial. Since its introduction in 1975, the XJS matured intoa very highly desirable classic car. The XJS is the longest runningproduction of Jaguar Cars, and it was produced for a bit over 20years. Today the Jaguar XJS remains a very highly sought-aftercollector car with lots of curb appeal. This 1991 Jaguar XJSconvertible is just 1 of 1689 produced and it came out of theBrowns Lane plant. The original miles are only 46,685 but since theprofessional restoration, only 10 miles have been driven on thiscar! In fact, the original paint is so good that repaint was notnecessary and the paint was enameled. The body is straight andsolid with no rust ever as this car has always been garaged. Theblack convertible top is in new condition. The original Ivoryleather bucket seat console interior is still in new condition anddid not need replacing. The wood grain dash is impressive as itstill retains its shine and has no peeling or fading. The seats andcarpet still look new. The engine is the powerful 5.3 Liter V12 andis paired with the automatic transmission. The engine runs strongand is reliable. During recent work, both the engine andtransmission were carefully gone through and anything that neededreplacing was done. It did not need a rebuild as miles were low.Parts were ordered from England.
