The coupe outsold the convertible and fastback individually five to one, accounting for nearly 75 percent of total sales.The first Mustang GT was introduced in April of 1965. They were available in all three body styles. Two optional V-8 engines were offered with the GT with either 225 or 271 hp and a choice of a three- or four-speed manual, or a Cruise-O-Matic transmission. The '65 GT also included a special dashboard instrument cluster that became standard in 1966. The GT had stripes on the lower body sides, fog lamps in the grille, dual exhaust tips, and GT badges on the front fenders. According to the previous owner this Beautiful Mustang GT has been in the restoration process since 2007 and is now complete. Please let all the pictures load (there are over 120) to see the stunning condition of this classic Ford! The exterior paint, trim and chrome are beautiful, with a show quality repaint in the original color of Wimbledon White! All exterior chrome and trim has been either redone or replaced. The original 289 V-8 ( A-Code) engine has been completely rebuilt with some mild performance upgrades. The pony interior is all new and the undercarriage is all new and is solid, clean and dry with no issues! Very nicely equipped, with the cruise-o-matic 3 speed transmission, dual exhaust, power steering, front disc brakes, fog lights, factory air conditioning, AM radio, Rally Pac gauges, deluxe seat belts, bucket seats with full floor console and styled rally wheels. All lights, signals, horn, windows, gauges, heat and air conditioning are fully operational. Overall, this car is exceptional and it rides and handles like a dream! If you have been looking for a turn key Mustang GT that really needs nothing, this is it! You would be hard pressed to find a nicer one! Included in the sale will be some receipts and photographs of the restoration, the original heads, 4 barrel manifold, exhaust manifolds, distributor, valve covers and air cleaner. Please remember that this car is 46 years old and not perfect.
